Unboxing. Foliage is compressed in transit and will look flat on arrival. Bend the branches outward from the bottom up and fan the foliage, ten to fifteen minutes per large tree. This is normal, not damage.

Return unused items in their original packaging within the period set out in our Returns policy. Because foliage is shaped by hand after unboxing, a fanned-out tree can still be returned, just repack it carefully.

Products are covered against manufacturing defects in construction, trunk mounting and foliage attachment. See our Returns policy for the period. Gradual fading from prolonged direct sun is not covered, including on UV-stabilised items. UV treatment slows fading, it does not stop it.

Measure your ceiling height and subtract at least 30cm so the canopy is not compressed against the ceiling. For a room corner, 1.8m to 2.4m usually reads well.

Twelve feet of artificial banana plant, this large faux banana carries plastic and fabric foliage over a reinforced internal structure and stands 4 m. It is a commercial-scale plant for lobbies, offices, covered terraces, retail displays and resort-styled interiors with real height to fill.

How tall is it, really?

12 ft, which is 4 m. That is the largest banana in this range by a clear margin and it is genuinely an atrium plant - four metres will not fit under a normal ceiling, and forcing it in bends the top leaves flat against the slab, which is exactly what you were paying to avoid.

Is it suitable for a commercial fit-out?

Yes, and the reinforced internal structure is the reason. Banana leaves are large and heavy relative to their stems, so at four metres an unreinforced plant starts drooping within months. This one is built to hold its shape through a long installation in a busy space.

Where does this work best?

Against a tall blank wall, or in an atrium corner where the leaf shapes are read in silhouette. Banana leaves are large and simple, so they hold up across a floor plate and from an upper level - which makes this a better long-range plant than a fine-leaved tree of the same height.
