Unboxing. Foliage is compressed in transit and will look flat on arrival. Bend the branches outward from the bottom up and fan the foliage, ten to fifteen minutes per large tree. This is normal, not damage.

Return unused items in their original packaging within the period set out in our Returns policy. Because foliage is shaped by hand after unboxing, a fanned-out tree can still be returned, just repack it carefully.

Products are covered against manufacturing defects in construction, trunk mounting and foliage attachment. See our Returns policy for the period. Gradual fading from prolonged direct sun is not covered, including on UV-stabilised items. UV treatment slows fading, it does not stop it.

Measure your ceiling height and subtract at least 30cm so the canopy is not compressed against the ceiling. For a room corner, 1.8m to 2.4m usually reads well.

Product Description

Built as an aquarium and display prop, this plastic artificial mangrove tree is a bare root-and-branch mangrove form in three heights from 4 ft to 8.2 ft. It goes into home aquariums, retail aquascape exhibits, coastal-themed sets and scenic installations where structure matters more than foliage.

How tall is it, really?

Three sizes: 4 ft (1.5 m), 6.7 ft (2 m) and 8.2 ft (2.5 m), with two different trunk shapes offered at 8.2 ft. For a tank, measure the internal height and the hood clearance rather than the external dimensions - the difference is usually larger than people expect.

Does it need any maintenance?

Wipe it down, and that is the whole job. Plastic takes cleaning without softening or discolouring, which is why this version exists at all: a fabric-leaved tree would be unusable in and around water. It also means it can be lifted out, cleaned and reset during a tank or set change.

Can this go outside?

No. This one is specified for indoor use, and we would rather say so plainly than let you find out. There is no stated UV rating, so in outdoor sunlight the plastic will chalk and fade. For an exposed position, pick a tree that is specified as UV resistant instead.
