Unboxing. Foliage is compressed in transit and will look flat on arrival. Bend the branches outward from the bottom up and fan the foliage, ten to fifteen minutes per large tree. This is normal, not damage.

Return unused items in their original packaging within the period set out in our Returns policy. Because foliage is shaped by hand after unboxing, a fanned-out tree can still be returned, just repack it carefully.

Products are covered against manufacturing defects in construction, trunk mounting and foliage attachment. See our Returns policy for the period. Gradual fading from prolonged direct sun is not covered, including on UV-stabilised items. UV treatment slows fading, it does not stop it.

Measure your ceiling height and subtract at least 30cm so the canopy is not compressed against the ceiling. For a room corner, 1.8m to 2.4m usually reads well.

Product Description

A 13 ft (4 m) artificial ficus banyan with UV- and water-resistant foliage on a deliberately lightweight build. Four metres of tree that two people can reposition is unusual, and it is the reason this one ends up in retail displays and event spaces that get reset every few weeks.

Will the colour fade in sunlight?

Slower than most, because the foliage is UV-resistant rather than plain moulded leaf. That is a rate, not an exemption - a tree in a fully exposed forecourt will still shift over years, while one behind glass or under a canopy holds its green.

How does it arrive, and how much shaping does it need?

Branches ship folded toward the trunk and need opening out from the bottom up. On a canopy this size expect twenty minutes and a stepladder; the difference between a shaped and an unshaped 4 m banyan is dramatic, so do not rush it.

Can this go outside?

Yes - it is built for patios, entryways and outdoor display, with water resistance as well as UV resistance. The lightness that makes it easy to move also means it needs securing in an exposed position; weight the base or fix it back.
