Unboxing. Foliage is compressed in transit and will look flat on arrival. Bend the branches outward from the bottom up and fan the foliage, ten to fifteen minutes per large tree. This is normal, not damage.

Return unused items in their original packaging within the period set out in our Returns policy. Because foliage is shaped by hand after unboxing, a fanned-out tree can still be returned, just repack it carefully.

Measure your ceiling height and subtract at least 30cm so the canopy is not compressed against the ceiling. For a room corner, 1.8m to 2.4m usually reads well.

Product Description

This fibreglass artificial ficus tree is an oversized indoor faux ficus standing 3.5 m (11.5 ft), with a moulded fibreglass structure carrying a broad leafy crown. It is made for hotel lobbies, offices, restaurants, showrooms, tall living rooms and event backdrops.

How tall is it, really?

3.5 m, which is 11.5 ft, in a single size. That is well above the reach of anyone standing on the floor, so work out how it will be dusted before you install it. It also means the top third of the tree is what most people actually see, and a crowded ceiling will spoil that.

Does it need any maintenance?

Dusting, and at this height that means a ladder or an extending duster once or twice a year. Ficus leaves are broad and flat, so they show dust sooner than fine foliage does. Beyond that, nothing: no light requirement, no watering, no leaf drop and no repotting.

Where does this work best?

Filling vertical space that furniture cannot reach. A double-height lobby has a dead zone between roughly two and four metres, and a ficus at 3.5 m is one of very few objects that occupies it convincingly. In a room with an ordinary ceiling this tree is simply too large.
