Product Description
This is a tabletop pine bonsai, sized for a console, a sideboard, a reception desk or a wide shelf. It is not a floor tree. The New Chinese form is low and wide, a spreading canopy set in a shallow basin, and the proportions bear that out: the largest styles reach 90 cm across while standing only 78 cm tall overall. Across the ten shaping styles, lettered A to J, overall height runs from 47 cm to 78 cm including the basin. When you are planning a spot for it, the spread is the dimension to work to, not the height.
Ten shaping styles are offered, lettered A to J, so two units placed in the same room need not look like copies of each other.
Size chart by style
Tree figures are length, meaning the widest branch spread, then height, then width, meaning front to back depth. Basin figures follow the same order. Overall height is the tree height plus the basin height, measured with the tree sitting on its basin.

These figures are supplier stated, not measured in house, and are subject to a tolerance of plus or minus 3 percent. Style A's size card has not yet been confirmed, so no figure is published for it. Contact us if you need Style A dimensions before ordering.
How wide does it spread?
Between 60 cm and 90 cm, which is 24 in to 35 in, depending on the style. See the size chart above for the exact figure for each one. These pieces are wider than they are tall, so the spread, not the height, is the dimension to plan around. If you are fitting one into a measured alcove or onto a console, check the tree length figure and the front to back depth first.
Can this go outside?
It is specified for indoor and covered outdoor placement, and a covered porch is where it looks best outdoors. Full exposure to driving rain will tire the trunk finish and the basin well before it affects the foliage.
Is it suitable for a commercial fit-out?
Yes, and the ten styles are the reason. A hotel needing the same piece across twelve rooms can order a spread of shaping codes and avoid the cloned look that undoes an otherwise careful fit-out. Note that the styles differ in size as well as in shape, so specify by style code if the installation needs a consistent height.
