Unboxing. Foliage is compressed in transit and will look flat on arrival. Bend the branches outward from the bottom up and fan the foliage, ten to fifteen minutes per large tree. This is normal, not damage.

Return unused items in their original packaging within the period set out in our Returns policy. Because foliage is shaped by hand after unboxing, a fanned-out tree can still be returned, just repack it carefully.

Products are covered against manufacturing defects in construction, trunk mounting and foliage attachment. See our Returns policy for the period. Gradual fading from prolonged direct sun is not covered, including on UV-stabilised items. UV treatment slows fading, it does not stop it.

Measure your ceiling height and subtract at least 30cm so the canopy is not compressed against the ceiling. For a room corner, 1.8m to 2.4m usually reads well.

Product Description

Podocarpus is the buddhist pine, an upright evergreen with long narrow leaves, and this artificial version stands 6.56 ft (2 m) in a single stocked size. It is specified for indoor use - homes, offices, hotels and commercial interiors.

How tall is it, really?

2 m exactly, or 6.56 ft. That sits just above head height for most people, which is the useful zone for an indoor tree: tall enough to divide a space visually, short enough to stand under a standard ceiling.

Will the colour fade in sunlight?

The foliage is made to resist fading, and indoors that is rarely tested hard. Placed beside a south-facing window it will still take more UV than the rest of the room, so turn it occasionally if it stands in direct light.

Where does this work best?

Podocarpus has a narrow upright habit, so it fits where a spreading tree cannot - beside a doorway, between two desks, at the end of a corridor. It reads as a formal architectural plant rather than a soft one.
