Unboxing. Foliage is compressed in transit and will look flat on arrival. Bend the branches outward from the bottom up and fan the foliage, ten to fifteen minutes per large tree. This is normal, not damage.

Return unused items in their original packaging within the period set out in our Returns policy. Because foliage is shaped by hand after unboxing, a fanned-out tree can still be returned, just repack it carefully.

Products are covered against manufacturing defects in construction, trunk mounting and foliage attachment. See our Returns policy for the period. Gradual fading from prolonged direct sun is not covered, including on UV-stabilised items. UV treatment slows fading, it does not stop it.

Measure your ceiling height and subtract at least 30cm so the canopy is not compressed against the ceiling. For a room corner, 1.8m to 2.4m usually reads well.

Product Description

Every size is quoted as height by width, and in all five the tree comes out wider than it is tall - from 1 m x 1.1 m up to 1.7 m x 1.8 m. Plastic foliage sits on a natural wood trunk, rated for indoor and outdoor placement.

How wide does it spread?

Between 1.1 m and 1.8 m, always slightly more than the height. Two options share a 1 m height with different spreads, 1.1 m and 1.3 m, so a shelf depth can be matched without changing the vertical proportion.

How tall is it, really?

The tallest option is 1.7 m x 1.8 m, so the tree tops out just under 6 ft. Every size is published as a pair, which is unusually specific for bonsai-form stock and worth using when the space has been measured.

Does it need any maintenance?

Dusting, plus a look at the trunk if it lives outdoors. The foliage is plastic rather than fabric, so it can be wiped with a damp cloth instead of brushed - a real advantage on a piece this wide.

From arm's length it is difficult to distinguish from a living tree. The trunk construction and multi-tone hand-set foliage do most of that work. Up close, under direct inspection, you will be able to tell. We would rather say that plainly than overpromise.
