Unboxing. Foliage is compressed in transit and will look flat on arrival. Bend the branches outward from the bottom up and fan the foliage, ten to fifteen minutes per large tree. This is normal, not damage.

Return unused items in their original packaging within the period set out in our Returns policy. Because foliage is shaped by hand after unboxing, a fanned-out tree can still be returned, just repack it carefully.

Products are covered against manufacturing defects in construction, trunk mounting and foliage attachment. See our Returns policy for the period. Gradual fading from prolonged direct sun is not covered, including on UV-stabilised items. UV treatment slows fading, it does not stop it.

Measure your ceiling height and subtract at least 30cm so the canopy is not compressed against the ceiling. For a room corner, 1.8m to 2.4m usually reads well.

Product Description

An anti-ultraviolet artificial olive tree in three heights, 5.1 ft (1.8 m), 6.1 ft (2.1 m) and 7.1 ft (2.4 m), with natural-touch leaves on a moulded trunk. The UV treatment is the reason this particular olive is sold for exterior work rather than lobby use.

Will the colour fade in sunlight?

Much more slowly than an untreated tree, which is the entire point of the anti-UV specification. Olive foliage is silver-green to begin with, so what fading does occur over years is less obvious than it would be on a strong green leaf.

Can this go outside?

Yes. The materials are water-resistant as well as UV-treated, so terraces, courtyards and restaurant frontages all work. It is equally at home indoors if you want the Mediterranean note without the exposure.

How tall is it, really?

1.8 m, 2.1 m or 2.4 m. All three fit under a standard ceiling, and the 2.4 m is the one most often used flanking a door or a bar.

Does it need any maintenance?

None beyond an occasional rinse outdoors. Small olive leaves shed rain and dust well, which is part of why this species is such a reliable faux subject.
