Unboxing. Foliage is compressed in transit and will look flat on arrival. Bend the branches outward from the bottom up and fan the foliage, ten to fifteen minutes per large tree. This is normal, not damage.

Return unused items in their original packaging within the period set out in our Returns policy. Because foliage is shaped by hand after unboxing, a fanned-out tree can still be returned, just repack it carefully.

Products are covered against manufacturing defects in construction, trunk mounting and foliage attachment. See our Returns policy for the period. Gradual fading from prolonged direct sun is not covered, including on UV-stabilised items. UV treatment slows fading, it does not stop it.

Measure your ceiling height and subtract at least 30cm so the canopy is not compressed against the ceiling. For a room corner, 1.8m to 2.4m usually reads well.

Product Description

The Artificial Olive Tree 9FT is a large floor-standing faux olive in soft PVC foliage, standing 2.7 m, with a 3.2 m option and a wide U-shaped twin-stem form also offered. It fills the corner beside a sofa, an entryway, a reception desk or an open-plan office bay.

How tall is it, really?

2.7 m, which is 8.1 ft rather than a strict nine. Two other options exist: the same 2.7 m height in a U-shaped form that spreads considerably wider, and a 3.2 m (10.6 ft) version for double-height rooms. Take the U-shape if the problem you are solving is width rather than height.

What kind of pot does it come in?

It is supplied to drop straight into a planter you choose, rather than in a decorative pot of its own. That is deliberate at this size - a 2.7 m olive looks completely different in a raw concrete cylinder than in a glazed ceramic bowl, and the planter ends up doing half the design work.

Does it need any maintenance?

Dust it, and reset the branches once or twice a year. Soft PVC foliage collects dust more readily than a hard moulded leaf, so a monthly wipe is what keeps the colour looking right. Nothing else applies: no light, no water, no feeding, no repotting.
