Unboxing. Foliage is compressed in transit and will look flat on arrival. Bend the branches outward from the bottom up and fan the foliage, ten to fifteen minutes per large tree. This is normal, not damage.

Return unused items in their original packaging within the period set out in our Returns policy. Because foliage is shaped by hand after unboxing, a fanned-out tree can still be returned, just repack it carefully.

Products are covered against manufacturing defects in construction, trunk mounting and foliage attachment. See our Returns policy for the period. Gradual fading from prolonged direct sun is not covered, including on UV-stabilised items. UV treatment slows fading, it does not stop it.

Measure your ceiling height and subtract at least 30cm so the canopy is not compressed against the ceiling. For a room corner, 1.8m to 2.4m usually reads well.

Product Description

An artificial dead tree is a bare sculptural trunk and branch structure with no foliage at all, and this one stands 13 ft (4 m) on a fibreglass trunk. It is a set-dressing piece for hotel lobbies, retail displays, restaurants, themed attractions and event backdrops.

What is the trunk made of?

Fibreglass, moulded with bark texture and weathered grain. With no leaves to look at, the trunk is the entire product, so the surface finish carries all of the realism - which is why a moulded fibreglass trunk is worth paying for here in a way it might not be under a dense canopy.

Where does this work best?

Anywhere you want the shape of a tree rather than the greenery of one. It takes uplighting better than any foliage tree, because light passes through the branch structure and throws the shadow onto the ceiling. It is also the default choice for hanging decor - lanterns, baubles, signage, seasonal installations.

Does it need any maintenance?

Almost none, and less than a foliage tree needs. There are no leaves to dust individually; a wipe along the branches is the whole job. And because nothing about it is meant to look fresh, a little accumulated wear reads as character rather than as neglect.
