Unboxing. Foliage is compressed in transit and will look flat on arrival. Bend the branches outward from the bottom up and fan the foliage, ten to fifteen minutes per large tree. This is normal, not damage.

Return unused items in their original packaging within the period set out in our Returns policy. Because foliage is shaped by hand after unboxing, a fanned-out tree can still be returned, just repack it carefully.

Products are covered against manufacturing defects in construction, trunk mounting and foliage attachment. See our Returns policy for the period. Gradual fading from prolonged direct sun is not covered, including on UV-stabilised items. UV treatment slows fading, it does not stop it.

Measure your ceiling height and subtract at least 30cm so the canopy is not compressed against the ceiling. For a room corner, 1.8m to 2.4m usually reads well.

Product Description

This artificial date palm is the outdoor-weighted option in the range, listed from 11.5 ft (3.5 m) up to 21 ft (6.5 m) and built in fiberglass with PE fronds over a brown moulded trunk. Pool surrounds, garden schemes, resort landscaping and large lobbies are its stated settings.

How long will it last?

No tested lifespan figure is published for this model, so we will not quote one. What the construction tells you is more useful: fiberglass and PE take up no water, so there is nothing in the trunk or the fronds to rot, and no living tissue to be killed by a hard frost.

How tall does it go?

Seven sizes covering 11.5 ft (3.5 m) to 21 ft (6.5 m). Like the Washingtonia in this range, it starts at 3.5 m rather than 2.5 m, because the proportions of a date palm need trunk length below the crown to be convincing.

Can this go outside?

Outdoor is the primary use. The build is described as designed to withstand outdoor conditions, and pool areas and gardens are named. On the 6 m and 6.5 m sizes, the base needs fixing or ballasting for wind.
