Unboxing. Foliage is compressed in transit and will look flat on arrival. Bend the branches outward from the bottom up and fan the foliage, ten to fifteen minutes per large tree. This is normal, not damage.

Return unused items in their original packaging within the period set out in our Returns policy. Because foliage is shaped by hand after unboxing, a fanned-out tree can still be returned, just repack it carefully.

Products are covered against manufacturing defects in construction, trunk mounting and foliage attachment. See our Returns policy for the period. Gradual fading from prolonged direct sun is not covered, including on UV-stabilised items. UV treatment slows fading, it does not stop it.

Measure your ceiling height and subtract at least 30cm so the canopy is not compressed against the ceiling. For a room corner, 1.8m to 2.4m usually reads well.

Product Description

An artificial coconut palm built in FRP at 10 ft (3 m), with a single leaning trunk and a crown of long fronds. Coconut is the tree that signals coast and resort faster than anything else, which is why it goes into beach clubs, hotel entrances, restaurant atria and wedding sets.

What is the trunk made of?

FRP - fibre-reinforced plastic - moulded with the fibrous, ringed bark texture a coconut trunk actually has. That surface is where these trees succeed or fail, because a coconut trunk is closer to the eye than the fronds ten feet above it.

Can this go outside?

Yes. FRP is the material used for outdoor architectural mouldings, and the tree is specified for outdoor as well as indoor placement. Fix or weight the base in any position exposed to wind - a 3 m frond crown catches a lot of it.

Is it suitable for a commercial fit-out?

It is aimed squarely at hospitality. Hotel lobbies, restaurants, pool decks and event backdrops are the stated uses, and the appeal for operators is a palm that needs no light at all - the one thing an interior coconut palm cannot get.
