Unboxing. Foliage is compressed in transit and will look flat on arrival. Bend the branches outward from the bottom up and fan the foliage, ten to fifteen minutes per large tree. This is normal, not damage.

Return unused items in their original packaging within the period set out in our Returns policy. Because foliage is shaped by hand after unboxing, a fanned-out tree can still be returned, just repack it carefully.

Products are covered against manufacturing defects in construction, trunk mounting and foliage attachment. See our Returns policy for the period. Gradual fading from prolonged direct sun is not covered, including on UV-stabilised items. UV treatment slows fading, it does not stop it.

Measure your ceiling height and subtract at least 30cm so the canopy is not compressed against the ceiling. For a room corner, 1.8m to 2.4m usually reads well.

Product Description

The New Chinese Artificial Welcome Pine Tree is a Luohan pine styled as a broad, low-spreading specimen, sold by height and length together from 1.0 x 1.2 m up to 3.0 x 3.2 m. The foliage is silk with a flocked finish. It is made for lobby landscapes, mall atriums and reception backdrops.

How wide does it spread?

Wider than it is tall, in every size offered. The smallest is 1.0 m high by 1.2 m long (3.3 x 3.9 ft); the largest is 3.0 m by 3.2 m (9.8 x 10.5 ft). That horizontal habit is the whole point of a welcome pine, so you need floor depth in front of it, not just ceiling height above it.

Is it suitable for a commercial fit-out?

Yes - malls, hotel lobbies and showrooms are where most of these end up. There is no irrigation, no drainage tray and no maintenance contract attached, which is usually what decides the specification when a landscape feature has to sit somewhere nobody can reasonably water it.

Where does this work best?

Against a plain wall or on a stone plinth, where the branch silhouette can be read as a shape. It does poorly in a busy corner competing with signage and furniture. Nine size steps let you match the piece to the wall run rather than forcing the room to accommodate the tree.
