Unboxing. Foliage is compressed in transit and will look flat on arrival. Bend the branches outward from the bottom up and fan the foliage, ten to fifteen minutes per large tree. This is normal, not damage.

Return unused items in their original packaging within the period set out in our Returns policy. Because foliage is shaped by hand after unboxing, a fanned-out tree can still be returned, just repack it carefully.

Products are covered against manufacturing defects in construction, trunk mounting and foliage attachment. See our Returns policy for the period. Gradual fading from prolonged direct sun is not covered, including on UV-stabilised items. UV treatment slows fading, it does not stop it.

Measure your ceiling height and subtract at least 30cm so the canopy is not compressed against the ceiling. For a room corner, 1.8m to 2.4m usually reads well.

Will it look real up close?

The trunk holds up under a camera at close range - that is what the detailed fiberglass moulding buys you. The canopy is where it shows: banyan foliage is small and dense, and dense artificial foliage always reads slightly too even.

Where does this work best?

Home interiors with height, event spaces and party sets. It is listed as an indoor piece, so treat exterior placement as outside its brief rather than as a bonus you happen to get.

How does it arrive, and how much shaping does it need?

Expect to open out the branches by hand before it looks like anything at all. Start low and work up, pulling branches away from the trunk and staggering their heights - an unshaped artificial ficus looks like a mop, and ten minutes fixes it.
