Unboxing. Foliage is compressed in transit and will look flat on arrival. Bend the branches outward from the bottom up and fan the foliage, ten to fifteen minutes per large tree. This is normal, not damage.

Return unused items in their original packaging within the period set out in our Returns policy. Because foliage is shaped by hand after unboxing, a fanned-out tree can still be returned, just repack it carefully.

Products are covered against manufacturing defects in construction, trunk mounting and foliage attachment. See our Returns policy for the period. Gradual fading from prolonged direct sun is not covered, including on UV-stabilised items. UV treatment slows fading, it does not stop it.

Measure your ceiling height and subtract at least 30cm so the canopy is not compressed against the ceiling. For a room corner, 1.8m to 2.4m usually reads well.

This is a desk-scale piece: an artificial welcome pine bonsai about 1.2 ft (37 cm) tall on a natural wood trunk. It suits an entryway console, a reception counter, a hotel front desk or an office credenza - places where a floor tree would be absurd but bare surface looks unfinished.

What are the variant options?

Two choices stack. First the foliage: cypress, meisong pine or red maple. Then the presentation: the bonsai on its own, the bonsai with a sand table and chassis, or the full set with sand table, chassis, lamp ring and incense burner. The full set is a display object rather than a plant substitute.

How tall is it, really?

Roughly 1.2 ft, or 37 cm. Small enough for a desktop, large enough to hold a console table on its own. If you are trying to fill a corner of a room, this is the wrong product in this range - the taller pine bonsai listings will serve better.

Does it need any maintenance?

None. A real bonsai is one of the most demanding houseplants there is - daily watering in summer, seasonal wiring, root pruning every couple of years. This one asks for a dusting, which is the honest reason most hotel front desks choose it.
