A fruiting tree rather than a flowering one, this artificial persimmon carries deep rose madder fruit against green foliage, at 6.4 ft or 6.89 ft. It is built in plastic and used in hotel lobbies, retail vignettes, wedding styling and event installations that want warm colour without florals.
Why fruit instead of blossom?
Because it lasts all year without looking seasonal in the wrong way. Blossom reads as spring; persimmon fruit reads as autumn and harvest, which suits a warm restaurant or a September event far better than a cherry tree would. In East Asian styling the persimmon also carries its own meaning.
How tall is it, really?
Two close sizes: 6.4 ft and 6.89 ft. Both fit under a standard commercial ceiling. The difference between them is small enough that the choice usually comes down to what pairs with the planter you already have.
Will it look real up close?
From a few metres the fruit does the work - round, saturated and correctly weighted on the branch, which is what the eye checks first. Close up the moulded plastic fruit has a uniform sheen that ripe persimmon does not. Light it from the side rather than head-on and that flattens out.
