Unboxing. Foliage is compressed in transit and will look flat on arrival. Bend the branches outward from the bottom up and fan the foliage, ten to fifteen minutes per large tree. This is normal, not damage.

Return unused items in their original packaging within the period set out in our Returns policy. Because foliage is shaped by hand after unboxing, a fanned-out tree can still be returned, just repack it carefully.

Products are covered against manufacturing defects in construction, trunk mounting and foliage attachment. See our Returns policy for the period. Gradual fading from prolonged direct sun is not covered, including on UV-stabilised items. UV treatment slows fading, it does not stop it.

Measure your ceiling height and subtract at least 30cm so the canopy is not compressed against the ceiling. For a room corner, 1.8m to 2.4m usually reads well.

Product Description

A large artificial olive tree standing 11.5 ft (3.5 m), with a textured trunk and layered green olive foliage, rated for indoor and outdoor placement. Three and a half metres is courtyard and lobby scale - the height at which a tree stops being furniture and starts defining the space around it.

Can this go outside?

Yes, it is specified for both. Olives are a natural outdoor choice because the real thing lives in courtyards and terraces, so a faux olive on a patio reads correctly in a way that an indoor-native plant never would. A sheltered corner out of the strongest wind keeps the foliage tidiest.

Where does this work best?

Hotel lobbies, restaurant courtyards and home gardens where the ground will not support a real olive. It also solves the classic problem space: a covered atrium with plenty of ceiling and almost no daylight, where a living olive would thin out within a year.

Does it need any maintenance?

None of the usual kind. No watering, no feeding, no pruning, no leaf drop to sweep. Outdoors it self-cleans in the rain; indoors, dust the foliage every few months with a soft brush and it stays as it arrived.
