Unboxing. Foliage is compressed in transit and will look flat on arrival. Bend the branches outward from the bottom up and fan the foliage, ten to fifteen minutes per large tree. This is normal, not damage.

Return unused items in their original packaging within the period set out in our Returns policy. Because foliage is shaped by hand after unboxing, a fanned-out tree can still be returned, just repack it carefully.

Measure your ceiling height and subtract at least 30cm so the canopy is not compressed against the ceiling. For a room corner, 1.8m to 2.4m usually reads well.

An artificial coconut palm with a metal trunk, this faux palm sets lifelike green fronds on a sturdy metal core, in four heights from 180 cm to 280 cm. It is used in lobbies, offices, patios, event venues and styled home corners where a palm has to survive being knocked about.

What is the trunk made of?

Metal, which is unusual on a palm this size and is the single reason to choose it. A moulded plastic trunk flexes at the base when the tree is nudged; a metal one does not. In a venue where furniture is moved around it every night, that difference decides how long the palm lasts.

How tall is it, really?

Four sizes: 180 cm (5.9 ft), 220 cm (7.2 ft), 250 cm (8.2 ft) and 280 cm (9.2 ft). The 220 cm and 250 cm options suit most rooms - tall enough for the fronds to arch above head height, short enough that the crown is not flattened against the ceiling.

Can this go outside?

Yes, it is listed for indoor and outdoor decor. A metal trunk is worth a moment's thought outdoors: keep the base out of standing water and off permanently wet ground, and it will serve well on a terrace, at an entrance or on an event site.
