Unboxing. Foliage is compressed in transit and will look flat on arrival. Bend the branches outward from the bottom up and fan the foliage, ten to fifteen minutes per large tree. This is normal, not damage.

Return unused items in their original packaging within the period set out in our Returns policy. Because foliage is shaped by hand after unboxing, a fanned-out tree can still be returned, just repack it carefully.

Products are covered against manufacturing defects in construction, trunk mounting and foliage attachment. See our Returns policy for the period. Gradual fading from prolonged direct sun is not covered, including on UV-stabilised items. UV treatment slows fading, it does not stop it.

Measure your ceiling height and subtract at least 30cm so the canopy is not compressed against the ceiling. For a room corner, 1.8m to 2.4m usually reads well.

Product Description

Ficus pandurata is the botanical name for the fiddle leaf fig, and this is the faux version in moulded plastic with veined, layered leaves, at 6.6 ft (2.0 m) or 7.5 ft (2.3 m). Both sizes are floor trees for living rooms, entryways, offices and event backdrops.

How tall is it, really?

Two heights: 6.6 ft (2.0 m) and 7.5 ft (2.3 m). The 2.0 m fits under a standard residential ceiling with headroom to spare; the 2.3 m wants a 2.7 m ceiling or better before the top leaves stop looking crowded.

Will it look real up close?

The veining is moulded rather than printed, so the leaf surface holds up at a metre. What gives it away is uniformity - real fiddle leaf figs carry blemished, unevenly sized leaves, and a faux canopy is consistently too healthy.

Is it safe around children and pets?

Worth noting that live Ficus lyrata sap is an irritant to cats and dogs, and this version has none of it. There is nothing to chew that carries a toxin, no soil to dig out and no water tray - which is exactly why the faux version sells into homes with animals.
