Unboxing. Foliage is compressed in transit and will look flat on arrival. Bend the branches outward from the bottom up and fan the foliage, ten to fifteen minutes per large tree. This is normal, not damage.
Returns & Warranty

Return unused items in their original packaging within the period set out in our Returns policy. Because foliage is shaped by hand after unboxing, a fanned-out tree can still be returned, just repack it carefully.

Products are covered against manufacturing defects in construction, trunk mounting and foliage attachment. See our Returns policy for the period. Gradual fading from prolonged direct sun is not covered, including on UV-stabilised items. UV treatment slows fading, it does not stop it.
Sizing Help

Measure your ceiling height and subtract at least 30cm so the canopy is not compressed against the ceiling. For a room corner, 1.8m to 2.4m usually reads well.

Product Description

Five metres - 16.5 ft - of banyan, with a moulded plastic trunk and silk-cloth leaves. This is a single-size artificial banyan tree for spaces that can absorb a genuine canopy: atriums, covered courtyards, large restaurant volumes and hotel forecourts.

How tall is it, really?

Sixteen and a half feet, five metres, in one size only. That is a two-storey tree. Before ordering, confirm not just the ceiling height but the access route, because a canopy at this scale cannot be walked through a standard corridor fully assembled.

What is the trunk made of?

Moulded plastic, finished with the aerial-root texture that gives a banyan its character. It is a lighter build than the fiberglass specimens in this range, which is a practical advantage at five metres.

Can this go outside?

Yes, this model is specified for indoor and outdoor use. A patio, a covered courtyard or an event space all work. A tree this size presents a lot of surface to wind, so an exposed rooftop position needs its base weighted or fixed.

How realistic does this actually look?

From arm's length it is difficult to distinguish from a living tree. The trunk construction and multi-tone hand-set foliage do most of that work. Up close, under direct inspection, you will be able to tell. We would rather say that plainly than overpromise.
What size should I order for my space?

Can I use this outdoors?

Only if it is from our UV-resistant range. Check the product title and tags. Indoor-rated pieces can go under permanent cover, but will fade faster in direct sun. UV stabilisation slows fading substantially; it does not defy physics.
Does it need any maintenance?

No watering, feeding, pruning or repotting. Dust settles on foliage the way it settles on a bookshelf, so a light dusting or gentle wipe every few months keeps it sharp. That is the entire care routine.
Why does it look flat when it arrives?

Foliage is compressed for transit, which is expected, not damage. Starting from the lowest branches and working up, bend each branch outward and fan the foliage until the canopy fills evenly. Large trees take ten to fifteen minutes and it is worth the time.
