Unboxing. Foliage is compressed in transit and will look flat on arrival. Bend the branches outward from the bottom up and fan the foliage, ten to fifteen minutes per large tree. This is normal, not damage.

Return unused items in their original packaging within the period set out in our Returns policy. Because foliage is shaped by hand after unboxing, a fanned-out tree can still be returned, just repack it carefully.

Products are covered against manufacturing defects in construction, trunk mounting and foliage attachment. See our Returns policy for the period. Gradual fading from prolonged direct sun is not covered, including on UV-stabilised items. UV treatment slows fading, it does not stop it.

Measure your ceiling height and subtract at least 30cm so the canopy is not compressed against the ceiling. For a room corner, 1.8m to 2.4m usually reads well.

An artificial banyan tree at 13 ft (4 m) with a 4.5 m (14.76 ft) canopy, built on a fiberglass trunk with plastic branches and dense green foliage. It is wider than it is tall, which is the defining habit of the species and the reason it is chosen for shopping centres, patios and open retail floors.

How wide does it spread?

4.5 m (14.76 ft) across, against 4 m of height. Read that number carefully before ordering - a canopy half a metre wider than the tree is tall will overhang whatever you place it near, and in a shop that can mean a whole display fixture.

Where does this work best?

Retail floors, shopping centre concourses, outdoor patios and large residential interiors. The spreading canopy makes a natural ceiling over a seating group, so it works better centred in a space than pushed against a wall where half the crown is wasted.

Does it need any maintenance?

Indoors, dust the upper leaf surfaces occasionally - a wide flat canopy catches more dust than an upright tree does, and it shows from below. Outdoors, rain handles it. Nothing else is required: no watering, no light, no pruning.
