Plenty of articles list places to buy artificial trees in Canada. Very few tell you what the trees actually cost, and almost none admit which prices they could not check. This one does both. On 28 August 2026 we surveyed ten national retailers plus the Canadian specialists, recorded one real price example from each where we could, and noted plainly where a price could not be verified. Who actually sells decorative artificial trees to Canadians?
More retailers than you might expect, in three groups: Canadian specialists, design-brand retailers with Canadian sites, and big-box names. Here is what each showed us, using a 5 to 7 ft artificial olive tree — or nearest equivalent — as the comparison point.
What do the Canadian specialists charge?
Véronneau (Quebec): a 70 inch artificial olive tree at $299.99 CAD, plus a handmade, Quebec-artisan-built olive tree on a natural wood trunk in 5 to 9 ft or custom sizes at $299.99 to $1,149.99 CAD. The only artisan-made option we found in the country.
Silk Plants Canada (Kelowna, BC): an 80 inch silk olive tree on natural wood at $366.77 on sale (regular $476.81). One caveat: the site has a CAD/USD currency switcher, and our fetch captured that price displayed in USD — check which currency the toggle shows you before comparing. Ships within Canada only; custom trees from 3 to 12 ft.
Waysaving (Mississauga, ON): plain CAD pricing — a 6 ft olive at $230.00 on sale (regular $299.00), a 7 ft at $260.00 (regular $350.00), a 10 ft at $800.00 (regular $1,200.00) — plus a physical showroom at 6705 Tomken Rd with free local pickup. Eververda (us): we price in CAD and state materials on every product page. Our 5.25 to 7 ft olive with a natural wood trunk is $249 to $419 CAD, our 4 to 6 ft olive with PE foliage and stainless-steel branches is $199 to $329 CAD, and beyond olives, our 4 to 7 ft fiddle leaf fig with a weighted base runs $219 to $399 CAD.
What do the design retailers charge in Canada?
All three of the big US design brands run Canadian sites with CAD pricing. Crate & Barrel Canada's 9 ft potted faux olive tree was $899.00 CAD, with the potted olive collection spanning $369.00 to $899.00 CAD across 5, 7 and 9 ft sizes. Pottery Barn Canada — run by Williams-Sonoma Canada, Inc. — showed faux olive trees in 6, 7 and 9 ft sizes at $373 to $823 CAD. West Elm Canada's faux potted olive tree in 5 and 7 ft options ran $449 to $973 CAD. In each case we could capture the collection range but not the exact per-size price, so treat those as brackets. What about big-box stores?
IKEA Canada is the one big-box retailer whose price we could verify: the FEJKA artificial olive tree, 150 cm (59 inches) tall, at $69.99 CAD. Small and simple, but the cheapest olive silhouette in the country. Wayfair.ca listed a range of 5 to 6 ft faux olive trees, for example a 6 ft tree in a white pot at $152.99 (was $225.99) and others from $93.99 to $289.99 — the .ca domain implies CAD, but the pages themselves did not label the currency, so we flag rather than assert it.
Which prices could we not verify?
This is the part most roundups skip: four national retailers confirmed as selling artificial trees would not yield a checkable price on 28 August 2026.
Amazon.ca lists numerous artificial olive trees — 6 and 7 ft models were visible in search results — but Amazon blocks automated page fetching entirely, so no exact price could be recorded. Canadian Tire lists a 7 ft Homeworks artificial olive tree and several smaller olives and figs, but its prices load through scripts our fetch could not execute; three product pages returned only template content. Costco.ca lists a 6.5 ft faux olive tree, but the page showed an empty price field and the item as unavailable. Home Depot Canada lists 5, 6 and 7 ft CAPHaus olive trees and Nearly Natural models, but its pages likewise returned no price text. All four may be worth checking in a browser or in store — we simply could not verify their prices, so no numbers appear for them below.

Who actually ranks when Canadians search?
The retailers with the biggest catalogues are not the ones Canadians actually see. On 28 August 2026, page one of Google for "artificial olive tree canada" was: Mobilia, Home Depot Canada, Walmart Canada, Canadian Tire, Artiplanto, Véronneau, Silk Plant Decor and More, Gallery Canada and Silk Plants Canada. Absent entirely: Amazon.ca, Wayfair.ca, IKEA, Costco.ca, Crate & Barrel, Pottery Barn and West Elm. Two details stand out. Artiplanto still held a page-one spot even though its storefront returned errors when we tried to load it the same day — the situation we cover in Artiplanto alternatives in Canada. And the field for "where to buy artificial trees canada" skewed to Walmart, Best Buy Canada and small specialists like Gallery Canada and Waysaving, rather than the big national chains. The practical upshot: page one is not a shortlist of the best or cheapest options, so it pays to check retailers that search results do not surface.
How should you use this survey?
Pick your price bracket first, then your retailer. Under $100 CAD, IKEA and the low end of Wayfair.ca are the realistic options, with trade-offs in size and detail. From roughly $200 to $500 CAD you are in specialist territory — Véronneau, Waysaving, Silk Plants Canada and us — where trees get natural wood trunks and stated materials. Above that, the design brands charge $800 to $1,000 CAD for their largest trees, and Véronneau's handmade line reaches $1,149.99 CAD. Verified prices on 28 August 2026 ran from $69.99 CAD for IKEA's 150 cm FEJKA to $1,149.99 CAD for Véronneau's largest handmade tree. The middle of the market — full-size trees with natural wood trunks from Canadian specialists — runs from about $230 to $450 CAD among the sellers that price plainly in CAD: Waysaving from $230.00 on sale, Véronneau from $299.99, and our own range at $199 to $449. Silk Plants Canada's listings displayed USD by default in our check, so convert before comparing. Design brands charge $373 to $973 CAD depending on size.
Does Costco sell artificial olive trees in Canada?
Costco.ca does list a 6.5 ft faux olive tree, but when we checked on 28 August 2026 the page showed no price and marked the item unavailable, so we could not verify what Canadians pay. A $499.99 USD figure circulating online refers to an 8 ft tree on the US site, not costco.ca — treat it as a different market and currency.
Why are there no Amazon.ca prices in this survey?
Because we could not check them. Amazon.ca blocks automated page fetching, so while its listings for 6 and 7 ft artificial olive trees are confirmed to exist, no exact price could be recorded and we do not quote numbers we did not see. Amazon prices also vary by seller and day, so check the live listing — and the seller's own reviews — before buying.
Is it cheaper to buy an artificial tree from a US retailer?
Usually not once everything is counted. A USD sticker price needs currency conversion, cross-border shipping or forwarding, and possibly duty and brokerage before it lands in Canada — and some US sellers will not ship here at all. Which stores let you see a tree before buying?
Waysaving's Mississauga showroom is the standout for specialist trees — open Monday to Saturday, 11 am to 7 pm, with free local pickup. Among national chains, IKEA, Canadian Tire, Costco and Home Depot carry some artificial trees on store floors, though selection varies by location and season. Everything else in this survey, including us, is online-first.
