Unboxing. Foliage is compressed in transit and will look flat on arrival. Bend the branches outward from the bottom up and fan the foliage, ten to fifteen minutes per large tree. This is normal, not damage.

Return unused items in their original packaging within the period set out in our Returns policy. Because foliage is shaped by hand after unboxing, a fanned-out tree can still be returned, just repack it carefully.

Products are covered against manufacturing defects in construction, trunk mounting and foliage attachment. See our Returns policy for the period. Gradual fading from prolonged direct sun is not covered, including on UV-stabilised items. UV treatment slows fading, it does not stop it.

Measure your ceiling height and subtract at least 30cm so the canopy is not compressed against the ceiling. For a room corner, 1.8m to 2.4m usually reads well.

Product Description

The UV Resistant Artificial Silk Fig Tree is a floor-standing faux Ficus altissima with layered silk-look leaves on a moulded plastic frame. The 5.5 ft option stands 166 cm. It is made for bright living rooms, entryways, covered balconies and office interiors where a real ficus drops leaves the moment the heating comes on.

How tall is it, really?

Three heights are offered: 120 cm (3.9 ft), 162 cm (5.4 ft) and 166 cm (5.5 ft). The gap between the two taller options is only 4 cm, so choose between them on colour and availability rather than expecting a visible difference. The 120 cm version is a console or plant-stand tree, not a floor specimen.

Will the colour fade in sunlight?

The foliage is UV resistant, which is what makes this one workable in a south-facing window or on a covered balcony. UV resistance slows fading, it does not cancel it - a tree left in full unshaded sun year-round will pale faster than the same tree indoors, and we would rather say that than overpromise.

Does it need any maintenance?

Dusting, and nothing else. Wipe the leaves with a dry microfibre cloth every few weeks, or use a low-pressure blast of air on the larger sizes. There is no watering, no feeding and no leaf litter to sweep up.
