A tropical jungle wall panel is a mixed-foliage green wall tile built from large-leaf plants rather than uniform grass. This one is 1.6 x 3.3 ft (0.50 x 1.00 m) and comes in two leaf depths, 40 mm (1.57 in) or a varied 4-10 cm (1.57-3.94 in), in green tones including army green.
Which leaf depth should I choose?
The 4-10 cm mixed depth if the wall is the feature; the flat 40 mm if it is a background. Varied leaf length casts real shadow and breaks up the grid, which is exactly what makes a jungle wall look planted rather than printed. It also collects more dust.
How many panels do I need per square metre?
Two. Each panel covers half a square metre, so a 4 m bar back at 2.5 m high is 10 sq m and takes 20 panels.
Where does this work best?
Behind signage, behind a bar, or as the backdrop to a photo moment - anywhere depth and shadow do more work than tidiness. It is also the panel that survives being shot on a phone camera with a flash, because the varied surface breaks up the glare that flattens a uniform grass wall.
