Unboxing. Foliage is compressed in transit and will look flat on arrival. Bend the branches outward from the bottom up and fan the foliage, ten to fifteen minutes per large tree. This is normal, not damage.

Return unused items in their original packaging within the period set out in our Returns policy. Because foliage is shaped by hand after unboxing, a fanned-out tree can still be returned, just repack it carefully.

Products are covered against manufacturing defects in construction, trunk mounting and foliage attachment. See our Returns policy for the period. Gradual fading from prolonged direct sun is not covered, including on UV-stabilised items. UV treatment slows fading, it does not stop it.

Measure your ceiling height and subtract at least 30cm so the canopy is not compressed against the ceiling. For a room corner, 1.8m to 2.4m usually reads well.

Product Description

An artificial maple tree at 9.84 ft (3 m), carrying red maple foliage on a fiberglass trunk. Red maple is the autumn read, so this is the tree people specify when they want warmth and colour in a scheme rather than another green plant - weddings, offices and home interiors alike.

Will it look real up close?

Maple leaves are large and flat, which cuts both ways: the shape is easy to reproduce convincingly, but a large leaf shows a moulded vein pattern more readily than a small one. At room distance it reads as a red maple. Standing under it with the light behind the leaves, you will see it is artificial.

Where does this work best?

Against a pale wall, where the red actually registers. Put a red maple in front of a busy or dark background and the colour that justified buying it disappears. Office receptions, wedding rooms and open-plan living spaces with a plain backdrop are where it performs.

What is the trunk made of?

Fiberglass, cast with bark texture and finished to a maple tone. It is lighter than a timber trunk of the same size, which makes a three-metre tree manageable for two people to reposition without specialist lifting.
