Unboxing. Foliage is compressed in transit and will look flat on arrival. Bend the branches outward from the bottom up and fan the foliage, ten to fifteen minutes per large tree. This is normal, not damage.
Returns & Warranty

Return unused items in their original packaging within the period set out in our Returns policy. Because foliage is shaped by hand after unboxing, a fanned-out tree can still be returned, just repack it carefully.

Products are covered against manufacturing defects in construction, trunk mounting and foliage attachment. See our Returns policy for the period. Gradual fading from prolonged direct sun is not covered, including on UV-stabilised items. UV treatment slows fading, it does not stop it.
Sizing Help

Measure your ceiling height and subtract at least 30cm so the canopy is not compressed against the ceiling. For a room corner, 1.8m to 2.4m usually reads well.

Product Description

The artificial Japanese red maple stands 3 m, about 10 ft, on a natural wood trunk, with foliage in full autumn red. It is a colour-first tree: the point of specifying it is the seasonal warmth it throws into a neutral room.

What is the trunk made of?

Natural wood. On a maple that is worth more than it sounds, because acer trunks are slim and sinuous and a moulded version tends to look too regular. Real timber gives you the irregularity for free.

Can this go outside?

Yes. It is described as snow-proof and water-proof, so a courtyard, terrace or entrance canopy is a valid placement as well as an interior.

How does it arrive, and how much shaping does it need?

Assembly is straightforward and the branches fit to the trunk on site. Take the time to angle the branches downward slightly, since maples droop rather than reach upward.

Where does this work best?

Hotels, restaurants and homes where a green tree would read as too plain. Red maple works especially well against pale walls or dark timber, and less well in a room that already has strong warm colour.

How realistic does this actually look?

From arm's length it is difficult to distinguish from a living tree. The trunk construction and multi-tone hand-set foliage do most of that work. Up close, under direct inspection, you will be able to tell. We would rather say that plainly than overpromise.
What size should I order for my space?

Can I use this outdoors?

Only if it is from our UV-resistant range. Check the product title and tags. Indoor-rated pieces can go under permanent cover, but will fade faster in direct sun. UV stabilisation slows fading substantially; it does not defy physics.
Does it need any maintenance?

No watering, feeding, pruning or repotting. Dust settles on foliage the way it settles on a bookshelf, so a light dusting or gentle wipe every few months keeps it sharp. That is the entire care routine.
Why does it look flat when it arrives?

Foliage is compressed for transit, which is expected, not damage. Starting from the lowest branches and working up, bend each branch outward and fan the foliage until the canopy fills evenly. Large trees take ten to fifteen minutes and it is worth the time.
