Benefits & Features

Realistic detailing. Hand-set, multi-tone foliage on a natural or fibreglass-reinforced trunk, built to read as real from across a room.

Low maintenance. No watering, feeding, pruning or repotting. A light dusting every few months is the entire care routine.

Materials. No soil, no pollen and no sap.

Built for commercial use. Sized and specified for lobbies, restaurants, offices and event spaces.

Shipping & Delivery

Made to order. Larger trees are built after your order is confirmed, so allow the lead time set out in our Shipping policy rather than next-day dispatch.

Freight for oversized pieces. Tall trees and multi-unit orders ship by freight and we will arrange a delivery window with you.

Unboxing. Foliage is compressed in transit and will look flat on arrival. Bend the branches outward from the bottom up and fan the foliage, ten to fifteen minutes per large tree. This is normal, not damage.

Returns & Warranty

Return unused items in their original packaging within the period set out in our Returns policy. Because foliage is shaped by hand after unboxing, a fanned-out tree can still be returned, just repack it carefully.

Products are covered against manufacturing defects in construction, trunk mounting and foliage attachment. See our Returns policy for the period. Gradual fading from prolonged direct sun is not covered, including on UV-stabilised items. UV treatment slows fading, it does not stop it.

Sizing Help

Measure your ceiling height and subtract at least 30cm so the canopy is not compressed against the ceiling. For a room corner, 1.8m to 2.4m usually reads well.

For double-height lobbies and atriums, go taller than instinct suggests, because undersized trees disappear in large volumes. Unsure? Send us your dimensions before ordering and we will tell you honestly which size fits.

Product Description

A faux Ficus lyrata in a light gray sphere planter finished with moss and black pebbles, three heights, from 60 in to 84 in. Flexible metal wire runs inside each leaf, not just the branches, so individual leaves can be bent and reshaped.

This is the only fiddle leaf fig in our current range set in a round planter rather than a square or cylindrical one, and the sphere shape reads as more sculptural than most of the plain black or white pots this species usually ships in — a deliberate styling choice for a room that is already fairly considered.

The wiring is a step beyond the usual wired-branch construction most fiddle leaf figs use: with flexible metal wire inside each individual leaf, you can angle single leaves rather than only the branch they sit on. That is the detail that stops a canopy looking like it was moulded in one uniform sweep.

Which height fits my room?

60 in (five feet) 8 ft The safe choice for a standard living room.
72 in (six feet) 8–9 ft Reads as a mature tree without crowding an average ceiling.
84 in (seven feet) 9 ft and over Statement scale; the sphere planter's visual weight matters more at this height.

Only the height changes across the three sizes.

If the sphere planter is the part you actually want and the tree inside it is secondary, a live plant in a matching real sphere pot is a legitimate alternative — concrete and clay planters are widely sold on their own, and you would only be committing to the tree, not the pot.

What arrives in the box, and what do I have to do to it?

Every tree on this site ships compressed, and the branches will arrive folded in against the trunk. Because the leaf-level wire on this tree is finer than a branch-level armature, take extra care when opening the canopy out — work the wire at the base of each leaf rather than bending the leaf blade itself, or the moulded veining can crease.

A concrete or clay sphere planter is heavier and more breakable than a plastic one, so inspect it specifically for hairline cracks when your delivery arrives, and photograph anything damaged before you unpack further.

Who should not buy this?

  • Anyone with direct outdoor sun in mind. This tree is best suited to indoor use; for sunny outdoor spots, choose a UV-rated model instead.
  • Hard flooring where a dropped pot matters. A concrete or clay-blend sphere planter is more breakable than a plastic pot if it is ever knocked over.
  • Buyers who want a matching set of planters. The sphere shape is distinctive to this tree; it will not match a square or cylindrical planter used elsewhere in the room.

Common questions

What makes the sphere planter different from a normal pot?

Most artificial trees in this category ship in a square, cylindrical or urn-shaped pot. This one uses a round sphere planter, offered in a concrete or clay blend, topped with moss and black pebbles rather than bare soil-effect filler. It is a more deliberate styling choice and, being concrete or clay rather than plastic, it also weighs more, which helps with stability but makes it more breakable if dropped.

Can I actually bend individual leaves on this tree?

Yes — flexible metal wire runs inside each leaf, not only inside the branches, which is a step beyond how most fiddle leaf figs are built. In practice that means you can angle single leaves away from their neighbours rather than every leaf on a branch pointing the same direction, which is one of the details that makes a canopy read as full rather than moulded.

What height suits an 8 foot ceiling?

The 60 in (five foot) or 72 in (six foot) version. Leave roughly two feet of clearance between the canopy and the ceiling — a tree that touches the ceiling reads as too big for the room rather than impressive. The 84 in version wants a 9 ft ceiling or more, and the sphere planter's visual weight becomes more noticeable at that scale.

Is the planter stable on its own?

A solid concrete or clay-blend sphere carries real weight, which helps the tree stand steady in everyday use. For a high-traffic corridor or a home with boisterous pets, position it out of the main line of movement, as you would any planter of this kind.

Why Choose This Piece

What separates it from a generic artificial plant

Hand-set foliage

Leaves are layered by hand in varying tones, because real foliage is never one flat shade of green.

Real trunk construction

Natural wood or reinforced fibreglass trunks, depending on the tree.

Built for real conditions

UV-stabilised options are intended for sun, chlorine and salt air, conditions that are hard on living planting. UV treatment slows fading; it does not stop it.

Sized for commercial spaces

Sized and specified for hotel lobbies, restaurants, offices and event spaces.

Frequently Asked Questions

How realistic does this actually look?

From arm's length it is difficult to distinguish from a living tree. The trunk construction and multi-tone hand-set foliage do most of that work. Up close, under direct inspection, you will be able to tell. We would rather say that plainly than overpromise.

What size should I order for my space?

Measure your ceiling height and subtract at least 30cm. For a standard room corner, 1.8m to 2.4m usually reads well. For lobbies and atriums, go taller than instinct suggests, because undersized trees vanish in large volumes. Send us your dimensions and we will advise before you order.

Can I use this outdoors?

Only if it is from our UV-resistant range. Check the product title and tags. Indoor-rated pieces can go under permanent cover, but will fade faster in direct sun. UV stabilisation slows fading substantially; it does not defy physics.

Does it need any maintenance?

No watering, feeding, pruning or repotting. Dust settles on foliage the way it settles on a bookshelf, so a light dusting or gentle wipe every few months keeps it sharp. That is the entire care routine.

Why does it look flat when it arrives?

Foliage is compressed for transit, which is expected, not damage. Starting from the lowest branches and working up, bend each branch outward and fan the foliage until the canopy fills evenly. Large trees take ten to fifteen minutes and it is worth the time.
