Benefits & Features

Realistic detailing. Hand-set, multi-tone foliage on a natural or fibreglass-reinforced trunk, built to read as real from across a room.

Low maintenance. No watering, feeding, pruning or repotting. A light dusting every few months is the entire care routine.

Materials. No soil, no pollen and no sap.

Built for commercial use. Sized and specified for lobbies, restaurants, offices and event spaces.

Shipping & Delivery

Made to order. Larger trees are built after your order is confirmed, so allow the lead time set out in our Shipping policy rather than next-day dispatch.

Freight for oversized pieces. Tall trees and multi-unit orders ship by freight and we will arrange a delivery window with you.

Unboxing. Foliage is compressed in transit and will look flat on arrival. Bend the branches outward from the bottom up and fan the foliage, ten to fifteen minutes per large tree. This is normal, not damage.

Returns & Warranty

Return unused items in their original packaging within the period set out in our Returns policy. Because foliage is shaped by hand after unboxing, a fanned-out tree can still be returned, just repack it carefully.

Products are covered against manufacturing defects in construction, trunk mounting and foliage attachment. See our Returns policy for the period. Gradual fading from prolonged direct sun is not covered, including on UV-stabilised items. UV treatment slows fading, it does not stop it.

Sizing Help

Measure your ceiling height and subtract at least 30cm so the canopy is not compressed against the ceiling. For a room corner, 1.8m to 2.4m usually reads well.

For double-height lobbies and atriums, go taller than instinct suggests, because undersized trees disappear in large volumes. Unsure? Send us your dimensions before ordering and we will tell you honestly which size fits.

Product Description

Short answer: a faux Ficus lyrata, 4 ft tall, one size only. The leaf count is exact — 72 — along with a named 5.5×4.9 in black PP pot filled with concrete for stability. The leaves are silk and plastic on an internal metal wire frame. At 4 ft this is a corner or side-table tree, not a room-scale statement piece.

Most fiddle leaf fig trees describe themselves as full or lush without a number behind either word. This one states 72 leaves at 4 ft, which gives you something concrete to compare against — a genuinely useful figure in a category where density claims are almost always adjectives rather than counts.

The pot is specified precisely: a 5.5×4.9 in black PP pot filled with concrete for stability. Named pot material and dimensions, on a floor tree this size, is more detail than most listings in this price range provide, and it answers the "will it tip over" question more concretely than a generic weighted-base claim.

The trade-off is scale. At 4 ft this is a corner filler or a side-table companion, not the room's focal point, and a leaf count that reads as generous at this size would read as sparse on a 6 ft or 7 ft tree. If you're choosing this tree specifically for the published leaf count, remember that number applies to this height only.

Artificial fiddle leaf fig, or a real one, when the leaf count actually matters?

This tree Live Ficus lyrata
Light required None Bright indirect light, six hours or more
Leaf count 72, fixed Varies constantly; a young plant may have fewer, a mature one considerably more
Leaf drop None Drops leaves after a move, a draught, or one heavy watering
Cost, year one One-time purchase A plant this size, plus a pot
Cost, year five Nothing further Frequently replaced once or twice
Maintenance A damp cloth every two months Watering, feeding, repotting, pest control, rotation

A young live fiddle leaf fig at this scale often carries fewer than 72 leaves and is still establishing, which is exactly the stage most first-time owners lose the plant at. If the point of ownership is watching it grow, the live plant is the honest choice, and you accept the risk that comes with it; if the point is a settled, full-looking tree from day one, the fixed leaf count here is the advantage.

What arrives in the box, and what do I have to do to it?

This tree arrives with leaves and branches pre-assembled, with no setup time required beyond unboxing and placing it. That's a genuine difference from taller trees that need twenty minutes or more of branch-opening before the canopy looks right; at 4 ft with a concrete-filled pot, there's simply less canopy to fluff.

A concrete-filled pot is heavier than a hollow one, which adds handling weight in transit. Inspect the pot seam and the trunk base before you accept delivery, and photograph anything damaged before you unpack further.

Who should not buy this?

  • Anyone wanting a room-scale statement tree. At 4 ft this is a corner or side-table piece. For something people notice when they walk in, look at one of the taller fiddle leaf figs in our range instead.
  • Direct outdoor sun. Best suited to indoor use; for spots with strong, unbroken sun, choose a UV-rated model instead.
  • Anyone who needs a taller version with the same leaf density. The 72-leaf count is specific to this 4 ft size; it doesn't tell you how full a taller tree will be.
  • Homes with cats that chew leaves. The leaves are securely attached to prevent shedding under normal handling, which isn't the same as being chew-proof.

Common questions

How many leaves does this fiddle leaf fig have?

72, at the stated 4 ft height. That's an unusually specific figure in this category — most fiddle leaf fig listings describe themselves as full or lush without a number attached. A 4 ft tree at 72 leaves reads as reasonably dense from across a room; the same count spread over a 6 ft or 7 ft tree would look sparse, so treat this figure as specific to this size only.

Do I need to assemble it?

No. The leaves and branches arrive pre-assembled, with no setup time required beyond unboxing and placing the tree — no branch-opening step needed.

What is the pot made of?

A black PP (polypropylene) pot measuring 5.5×4.9 in, filled with concrete for stability. Both the material and the dimensions are named, which is more specific than the generic "black pot" description many comparable trees use. The concrete fill is also what keeps a 4 ft tree from feeling top-heavy despite its relatively compact pot footprint.

Is the tree suitable for outdoor use?

This tree is intended for indoor placement. No UV rating or outdoor-exposure figure is published, so treat it as an indoor tree.

Can I use it in a restaurant or cafe entrance?

Restaurant entrances, patios and cafes are among the suggested placements, alongside the more usual living room and office settings — think covered or indoor-adjacent commercial space rather than open outdoor exposure. At 4 ft it also suits a hostess stand or entrance console well, where a taller tree would otherwise crowd the space.

Why Choose This Piece

What separates it from a generic artificial plant

Hand-set foliage

Leaves are layered by hand in varying tones, because real foliage is never one flat shade of green.

Real trunk construction

Natural wood or reinforced fibreglass trunks, depending on the tree.

Built for real conditions

UV-stabilised options are intended for sun, chlorine and salt air, conditions that are hard on living planting. UV treatment slows fading; it does not stop it.

Sized for commercial spaces

Sized and specified for hotel lobbies, restaurants, offices and event spaces.

Frequently Asked Questions

How realistic does this actually look?

From arm's length it is difficult to distinguish from a living tree. The trunk construction and multi-tone hand-set foliage do most of that work. Up close, under direct inspection, you will be able to tell. We would rather say that plainly than overpromise.

What size should I order for my space?

Measure your ceiling height and subtract at least 30cm. For a standard room corner, 1.8m to 2.4m usually reads well. For lobbies and atriums, go taller than instinct suggests, because undersized trees vanish in large volumes. Send us your dimensions and we will advise before you order.

Can I use this outdoors?

Only if it is from our UV-resistant range. Check the product title and tags. Indoor-rated pieces can go under permanent cover, but will fade faster in direct sun. UV stabilisation slows fading substantially; it does not defy physics.

Does it need any maintenance?

No watering, feeding, pruning or repotting. Dust settles on foliage the way it settles on a bookshelf, so a light dusting or gentle wipe every few months keeps it sharp. That is the entire care routine.

Why does it look flat when it arrives?

Foliage is compressed for transit, which is expected, not damage. Starting from the lowest branches and working up, bend each branch outward and fan the foliage until the canopy fills evenly. Large trees take ten to fifteen minutes and it is worth the time.
