Cherry blossom is the one artificial-versus-real argument that isn't close. A live ornamental cherry blooms for one to two weeks a year and spends the other fifty looking like an ordinary green tree, and it's also an outdoor species — it can't be grown as a houseplant at all. This one is a permanent indoor bloom, which is a different product category from "a plant that lives on your windowsill," not a lesser version of a live tree.

The honest case for a real cherry tree is that its scarcity is the point — hanami exists as a tradition precisely because the bloom doesn't last. If a permanent pink tree indoors is what you actually want, the fleeting week isn't something this product is trying to replace.
What's in the box, and how do I set it up?
This ships compressed, as every tree on this site does. Budget roughly twenty to thirty minutes to fan the branches out from the trunk so it reads as full rather than flat.
Inspect the trunk and pole joints before you accept delivery, and photograph anything damaged before you unpack further.

Why don't real cherry blossom trees stay in bloom?
A cherry tree's flowers open over a short, weather-triggered window — typically one to two weeks — before the petals drop and the tree spends the rest of the year as plain green foliage. That short window is the entire cultural reason hanami, the Japanese custom of viewing cherry blossoms, exists: the bloom is deliberately brief and people plan trips around catching it. An artificial cherry blossom tree exists because most buyers want the look of that week without waiting fifty-one weeks a year for it, since a real one grows to 15 to 25 feet outdoors and can't be kept indoors.
Why choose the double-pole 5 ft version over the single-pole one?
It adds a second support pole for extra stability. If that matters more to you than the plainer single-pole build, the double-pole version is the one to choose.
Does this come with a pot?
No pot is included. Budget for a separate planter if you want a finished look, and choose one large enough to stabilise a 5 to 6 foot tree on its own.
Can I put an artificial cherry blossom tree outside?
