Unboxing. Foliage is compressed in transit and will look flat on arrival. Bend the branches outward from the bottom up and fan the foliage, ten to fifteen minutes per large tree. This is normal, not damage.

Return unused items in their original packaging within the period set out in our Returns policy. Because foliage is shaped by hand after unboxing, a fanned-out tree can still be returned, just repack it carefully.

Products are covered against manufacturing defects in construction, trunk mounting and foliage attachment. See our Returns policy for the period. Gradual fading from prolonged direct sun is not covered, including on UV-stabilised items. UV treatment slows fading, it does not stop it.

Measure your ceiling height and subtract at least 30cm so the canopy is not compressed against the ceiling. For a room corner, 1.8m to 2.4m usually reads well.

How tall is it, really?

170 cm, or 5.5 ft, with no size options to weigh up. It reaches roughly a standing person's shoulder, which is the point at which a bonsai form stops being an ornament and starts working as a floor tree.

Will it look real up close?

The needles are real-touch, so the give in the material is right when somebody puts a hand on it. What gives it away at close range is repetition - the needle clusters come off the same moulds, and once you spot one you spot them all.

Can this go outside?

It is listed for indoor and outdoor placement, and the fiberglass and plastic construction is why. There is no timber to swell or split, which makes it a safer choice than a wood-trunk bonsai for a terrace or an exposed entrance.
