Unboxing. Foliage is compressed in transit and will look flat on arrival. Bend the branches outward from the bottom up and fan the foliage, ten to fifteen minutes per large tree. This is normal, not damage.

Return unused items in their original packaging within the period set out in our Returns policy. Because foliage is shaped by hand after unboxing, a fanned-out tree can still be returned, just repack it carefully.

Products are covered against manufacturing defects in construction, trunk mounting and foliage attachment. See our Returns policy for the period. Gradual fading from prolonged direct sun is not covered, including on UV-stabilised items. UV treatment slows fading, it does not stop it.

Measure your ceiling height and subtract at least 30cm so the canopy is not compressed against the ceiling. For a room corner, 1.8m to 2.4m usually reads well.

How tall is it, really?

190 cm, which is 6.2 ft, in one size. On a banana the leaves are the whole plant and they are enormous relative to the stem, so 190 cm of banana occupies far more visual space than 190 cm of any conventional tree. Judge this one on presence rather than on the number.

Can this go outside?

Yes, it is made for indoor and outdoor placement, and PE is the right material for a sunroom or a covered terrace. Banana leaves are broad and flat, which means they catch wind badly, so a sheltered corner or a properly weighted planter is the sensible precaution outdoors.

How does it arrive, and how much shaping does it need?

The leaves arrive folded and will carry creases from the packing. Open each one out fully, then bend the leaf stem so it arches rather than standing straight out - a living banana leaf droops under its own weight, and that single adjustment is what makes the plant read correctly.
