Benefits & Features

Realistic detailing. Hand-set, multi-tone foliage on a natural or fibreglass-reinforced trunk, built to read as real from across a room.

Low maintenance. No watering, feeding, pruning or repotting. A light dusting every few months is the entire care routine.

Materials. No soil, no pollen and no sap.

Built for commercial use. Sized and specified for lobbies, restaurants, offices and event spaces.

Shipping & Delivery

Made to order. Larger trees are built after your order is confirmed, so allow the lead time set out in our Shipping policy rather than next-day dispatch.

Freight for oversized pieces. Tall trees and multi-unit orders ship by freight and we will arrange a delivery window with you.

Unboxing. Foliage is compressed in transit and will look flat on arrival. Bend the branches outward from the bottom up and fan the foliage, ten to fifteen minutes per large tree. This is normal, not damage.

Returns & Warranty

Return unused items in their original packaging within the period set out in our Returns policy. Because foliage is shaped by hand after unboxing, a fanned-out tree can still be returned, just repack it carefully.

Products are covered against manufacturing defects in construction, trunk mounting and foliage attachment. See our Returns policy for the period. Gradual fading from prolonged direct sun is not covered, including on UV-stabilised items. UV treatment slows fading, it does not stop it.

Sizing Help

Measure your ceiling height and subtract at least 30cm so the canopy is not compressed against the ceiling. For a room corner, 1.8m to 2.4m usually reads well.

For double-height lobbies and atriums, go taller than instinct suggests, because undersized trees disappear in large volumes. Unsure? Send us your dimensions before ordering and we will tell you honestly which size fits.

Product Description

A faux agave with 3 stems on a single base, 160 cm tall. Agave is bought for silhouette rather than softness — three rigid, spiked stems rising from one base read as a sculptural accent in a way a leafier plant does not, and this one gives you that architecture with none of the spines a real agave carries.

That makes agave a smart species to choose in artificial form, provided the leaves hold their shape: a real agave leaf does not bend, and the same is true of a convincing artificial one. The build here is low-maintenance by design — no watering, no repotting, no sunny window required.

At 160 cm and suitable for indoor and outdoor placement, it works as a floor-standing statement in an entryway, beside a fireplace, or flanking a doorway — anywhere you want strong structure rather than soft foliage.

This 3-stem agave, or a real one?

This plant Live agave
Light required None Bright light; a genuinely easy plant to keep alive in a sunny window
Rigidity tell Leaves are fixed in shape by design Real leaves are rigid and never bend; the tell for a fake is a leaf that does
Safety near seating or children No spines to worry about at all Spines are real and can break skin; a poor choice next to a sofa or a toddler
Growth None Very slow — agave takes years to visibly fill out
Cost, year one Paid once, at purchase Additional pot required; considerably cheaper overall

For most buyers with a bright room and no small children nearby, a live agave is a genuinely low-effort plant. The honest reason to buy the artificial one instead is the spines: if you want the architectural look near seating or with kids around, the fake removes the one real hazard the live plant carries.

What arrives in the box, and what do I have to do to it?

The plant ships compressed and needs its branches separated and fluffed out by hand after unboxing — this is the step that turns a flat-packed plant into one that reads as full and three-dimensional.

Boxes take knocks in transit, so inspect the base and stems before you accept delivery — a cracked base, a bent stem, a crushed leaf — and photograph anything damaged before you unpack further.

Who should not buy this?

  • Buyers who expect a display pot in the box. This plant is built as 3 stems on a single base and looks its best arranged in a larger planter — plan on supplying one that suits your room.
  • Commercial fit-outs that must submit fire-test paperwork for inspection. We haven't tested these components against a named fire standard, so confirm your requirements before specifying any artificial plant.
  • Anyone who wants soft, leafy movement. Agave is rigid and sculptural by nature — if you want foliage that sways and drapes, choose a palm or a silk-leafed species from our range instead.

Common questions

How tall is this agave, and where does that height work?

It stands 160 cm — roughly 5.25 ft — which puts the spiked crown at eye level for most people and makes it a genuine floor statement rather than a tabletop accent. That scale suits an entryway, a landing, or the empty corner beside a media unit, and because the form is narrow and upright rather than broad, it fits spots a wide-canopied tree cannot.

Does it come with a pot?

It arrives as 3 stems on a single base — the structural unit that holds the plant together and upright. For the best display, arrange it in a larger planter of your choosing: a heavy ceramic or concrete-look pot suits the desert character of the species and lets you match the finish to your room. Budget for the planter as part of the project.

Is it fire safe?

We haven't independently tested these components against a named fire-safety standard, so if your particular use requires fire-rating documentation — a commercial fit-out subject to inspection, for instance — confirm the standards your project must meet before specifying artificial greenery of any kind.

Can I tell it's fake up close?

The strongest tell on any artificial agave, this one included, is whether the leaves bend. Real agave leaves are genuinely rigid and hold a fixed angle no matter how you touch them; if a leaf flexes noticeably under a light push, that is the giveaway that separates a convincing fake from an obvious one. This plant's leaves are fixed in shape by design, which is exactly what the species demands.

Why Choose This Piece

What separates it from a generic artificial plant

Hand-set foliage

Leaves are layered by hand in varying tones, because real foliage is never one flat shade of green.

Real trunk construction

Natural wood or reinforced fibreglass trunks, depending on the tree.

Built for real conditions

UV-stabilised options are intended for sun, chlorine and salt air, conditions that are hard on living planting. UV treatment slows fading; it does not stop it.

Sized for commercial spaces

Sized and specified for hotel lobbies, restaurants, offices and event spaces.

Frequently Asked Questions

How realistic does this actually look?

From arm's length it is difficult to distinguish from a living tree. The trunk construction and multi-tone hand-set foliage do most of that work. Up close, under direct inspection, you will be able to tell. We would rather say that plainly than overpromise.

What size should I order for my space?

Measure your ceiling height and subtract at least 30cm. For a standard room corner, 1.8m to 2.4m usually reads well. For lobbies and atriums, go taller than instinct suggests, because undersized trees vanish in large volumes. Send us your dimensions and we will advise before you order.

Can I use this outdoors?

Only if it is from our UV-resistant range. Check the product title and tags. Indoor-rated pieces can go under permanent cover, but will fade faster in direct sun. UV stabilisation slows fading substantially; it does not defy physics.

Does it need any maintenance?

No watering, feeding, pruning or repotting. Dust settles on foliage the way it settles on a bookshelf, so a light dusting or gentle wipe every few months keeps it sharp. That is the entire care routine.

Why does it look flat when it arrives?

Foliage is compressed for transit, which is expected, not damage. Starting from the lowest branches and working up, bend each branch outward and fan the foliage until the canopy fills evenly. Large trees take ten to fifteen minutes and it is worth the time.
